There’s a popular gospel song, called I Surrender All. Do you? To be Born Again, one must completely surrender all. It’s not enough to just confess, one must follow with action. Yah reads hearts, not minds. One must Love Yah with all their heart, soul and mind (first and greatest commandment, Matthew 22:37–38). This entails trust – and surrender is an act of trust.

Surrender Your Life

“He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.” (Matthew 10:39)

“Then He [Messiah] said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23)

Lose Your Earthly Activities on the Sabbath

There’s a saying, everybody wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die. Yet Messiah died for us all. And many can’t even give up one day a week to focus on the Lord. I was guilty myself. So I’m aiming to do better, especially as I see instant results in that I’m hearing the voice of God more clearly by doing so.

The Sabbath is from sundown Friday till sundown Saturday. Is it too much to devote this time to the Lord? I won’t get into the debate about the true Sabbath day and how the worship days have been altered because I don’t think that matters. Just choose one day (Saturday OR Sunday) and devote it to the Lord, geez. It’s easy to forget how much the Israelites were blessed because blessings seem so hard to come by nowadays. But they were a faithful people, and therefore close to God’s heart.

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.”

“but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.”

“For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.” (Exodus 20:8, 10-11)

We are still required to keep the Sabbath. Yashua did not abolish the laws detailed in the Old Testament.

This is a choice, and we are blessed if we choose it.

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” (Matthew 5:17)

Some modern prophets strongly advocate following the Sabbath. They say Yah will not bless those who do not keep it. What we need to realize is that there is nothing but benefits from following the Law of the Sabbath. Even dietary laws are to keep us from unclean foods that can dirty the body temple and make our mind fuzzy.

Surrender Brings You Closer to the Creator

“You are near, O Lord, And all Your commandments are truth.” (Psalm 119:151)

“The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18)

“Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, That glory may dwell in our land.” (Psalm 85:9)

“But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works.” (Psalm 73:28)

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)

Being Obedient in Following the Law Keeps the Born Again Protected

“No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;” (Psalm 91:10)

Ask Yashua to Enter Your Body and Take Over.

Give him the wheel. In fact, give the wheel and your will to the Messiah.

We all want to be safe in these uncertain times, and more importantly, blessed with the sweet things of life. Yah loves all of us, but how many of us love Yah?

Are you saved?
