The greatest love story the world has ever known has already been told. It is in the Bible. And it’s the story of how Yah, took on flesh and became human, in order to save humanity.
It is tragic, yet poignant. Beautiful, haunting, and passionate. It contains all the elements of a true love story. And it is neverending. It was started on the cross but it will never die, because His love continues to grow in our hearts, in the heart of the true believer.
He died so that we could live. He sacrificed his life so that we could try, just try, to understand the depth of real love. He rose again to show us that love can never die; it can never be defeated.
” Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13)
He didn’t die so we could continue to sin, he died so we could repent and turn away from it. And to help us to understand the value of dying to self. The meaning of his death is a mystery only the Saints can solve. But it is a simple one, one that children can comprehend.
“you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.” (Matthew 11:25)
If we meditate on the love story of The Messiah it will change us in miraculous ways.
True Love Never Dies!
