This confirms the spirit of God to be one. ~Adebayo Ademujimi

* Sidenote: Two days ago (12-10-20) I started writing this post. Then I came upon a testimony by Adebayo Ademujimi that I decided to post instead. What’s weird is a few points in his testimony are exactly what I was writing about in this post. I don’t know how I happened to click the link to his testimony at that time when I was writing about the same things. But I don’t believe in coincidences. Halleluyah.*

From my experience, people think Yah is like an ATM machine. They come to Her when they want something, but not for any other reason. And I used to also. They think that the more and harder they pray, it will move her. But the more I spend time alone with Yah, the deeper my understanding. It helps me to see things from Her perspective, not my own small and limited one. And to see that “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

And the Lord is motherly (or some say fatherly). Meaning She takes care of her children. And she wants us to make it in to the eternal paradise. I have visions of being there, and I remember seeing the great throne and golden angels around it, and it is BREATHTAKING. But that’s another sidenote.

I know some very good people. Kindhearted, generous, and giving folk. But they refuse to live by Yah’s rules. And that’s OK, they have that option. But what I’ve also noticed, is as kind and loving as these people can be, they are all suffering in some way. Some can’t find a mate, some have financial issues, some health problems, etc. And they pray and pray and pray…yet they don’t obey. Then some of them get frustrated and give up, losing faith but not realizing that Yah isn’t the problem.

As the post by Adebayo states:

“In His response, He said MANY OF THEM ARE INSIDE THE HOUSE AND CRYING TO HIM FOR RESCUE WHILE THEY ARE DENYING HIM ACCESS TO DO THE RESCUE BY LOCKING THE DOOR OF THE ROOM WHILE HE (JESUS) IS WAITING OUTSIDE TO DELIVER THEM BUT COULD NOT ENTER SINCE THE DOOR IS LOCKED.”

I was there. I know the end result. But now I understand why. Because I was in the middle. I was doing things my way, yet wanting Yah’s approval and blessing. I was living in unrepentant sin, yet wanting good things to come my way. And Yah firmly let me know – it don’t work like that.

But I never lost faith. And I guess that’s what led me to the Truth, which is Messiah himself.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.“ (John 14:6)
