You may know in these last days that Yah is pouring out his/her spirit on mankind and causing many to have dreams and visions to help prepare and warn people of what’s to come. But satan is doing this also. And he’s good at it. Just as many demons are hybrid, half humanistic and half animal, satan works in half truths. He tells the truth to get you hooked, then slyly slips in the lie. Once you’re roped in, it’s easy to believe the lie.
There are lots of false testimonies being made right now. And they are convincing. The Bible tells us that “false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” (Matthew 24:24). Many of these testimonies deal with legalism, with scaring folks into thinking they’re going to hell for minor things such as wearing earrings or pants. While the sin behind this is called vanity, and many do lose salvation due to it, these testimonies focus on the symptoms of vanity, and this can fool many. For instance, wearing earrings as long as one is not overly focused on outward adornment is not a crime.
These testimonies are designed to bring people away from Messiah by creating fear, and a sense of hopelessness, that it’s almost impossible to be saved because of all the requirements. When Yashua clearly told us, “My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” We need to pray for understanding. Because even though the burden isn’t heavy, it’s also being said that most still won’t make it. But that’s not because of the burden, that’s more due to the lack of love and selfishness that causes many to choose the way of the world instead of the way of the cross.
A few false testimonies try to get people to believe the holy spirit is its own entity and to shift the focus from Jesus to it. But God is ONE.
“Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.””(Mark 12:29) Jesus is God in human form. And the holy spirit is simply God’s spirit. To divide God into anything other than ONE is a form of blasphemy, because it’s untrue.
So here’s an example. (found here.) It gets you emotionally involved because it starts out with accounts of preachers suffering in hell. This one switches it up and starts first with a lie. But it’s not the first testimony in this account, it’s the testimony of the fifth minister the person supposedly saw in hell. The preacher is brought forth by demons and says:
“I was a minister of the gospel. I preached wherever I find myself. I preached in season and out of season, but I didn’t believe in the existence of the HOLY SPIRIT even though I died at the age of 85, yet I had never in a moment believed that the Holy Spirit is a personality. So when I died, my sins were disclosed to me but the disbelieving of the Holy Spirit was boldly written on the screen of judgment. Being guilty of the offenses, the angels of God took me to the way to Hell and handed me over to demons that took me to Hell. That was how I came to Hell.”
Then it follows with something that is probably based in truth.
” “And what are your sins which were disclosed to you apart from disbelieving the Holy Spirit,” I asked him. “They are (he continued) failure to train my children in the fear of God which made them live as unbelievers. My sons became womanizers as they grew to adolescence and my daughters were not different from prostitutes by the way they dress. Although they all are married and have children, they had transferred their lifestyles to their children. Please Kingsley I need mercy. I am in pain.” Then I shook my head when I saw tears rolling down the cheeks of this man. And as he finished the demons dragged him back to Hell while he was calling on me to tell them to leave him alone.”
After this, it slips you a mickey by introducing another lie. It says:
“Personally, I know the Holy Spirit is not a wind or a force but a divine personality. He has the following characteristics listed below:
1. He is the third person in the Godhead. He has feelings.”
It proceeds to lists a few characteristics that actually belong to Jesus/Yashua NOT anyone else. (I only listed the first one above). And then goes on to say:
“The Holy Spirit is real! Therefore, anyone who does not believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit has counted himself or herself as a candidate of Hellfire. It is better we start believing that the Holy Spirit is a personality than a force or an influence now that there is time because tomorrow may never come our way.”
That is just not the truth. I’ve spoken on this before. (See here). Any attempt to divide God is an attempt to break focus and deceive us into a weak or nonexistent relationship with our Creator.
The “holy trinity” has long been debunked as a pagan belief. God is ONE, not three personalities, and Jesus, not the holy spirit, died and rose for our sins. I’ve read many just like this. But if one prays for discernment, you will get a funny feeling (although it might not come immediately) when you’re reading or listening to a false testimony – the feeling that something just ain’t right.
