This might offend some people, and if it does, why? Does not the Bible say “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” (John 1:1)
The Word IS God! It is The Messiah. The Bible is not the word. It is a history book that also contains Commands from Lord Jesus (Yashua) and words of men that are often helpful but not always accurate.
If it gets confusing, stick to the words in red, the words of the Christ.
Many like to skirt around these words and hang onto the words of Paul or others who although had good intentions, were in truth flawed men. None were perfect except the Master, The Messiah.
It’s time for a radical Christianity. Lord Yashua died a horrific death… for US. Not so we can sit back and depend on a book when what he seeks is a RELATIONSHIP with us!
The only words that really matter are HIS words, the words in Red in many Bibles.
Everything else is helpful but not necessary.
Yashua was the only one speaking as the firstborn son of Yah. All the other men in the Bible were imperfect.
“Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.” (Romans 7:4 )
We are married to Christ in spirit. And the spirit counts more than the flesh. Yashua said: “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.” (John 6:63)
If the flesh profits nothing, than earthly marriage isn’t as important as some make it to be.
For example, Paul said, “But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: It is good for them if they remain even as I am; but if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.” (1 Corinthians 7:8-9) But that last sentence contrasts with the King himself who said “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23)
If a person becomes reborn of the spirit he/she will no longer burn in lust. Marriage is Sacred. No one should seek to marry because they desire sex. That is absurd! But yet, this is happening every single day. And it is not ok.
If you have the Love of Christ, you want your spouse to be happy, not obedient to you. To the men who desire submission, would you be content to be submissive to your wife all the time?
And ladies, if you think being submissive to an imperfect mortal in addition to being submissive to God is acceptable, you are playing with fire. The Lord wants ALL of you, not part. You are worthy. And you should not split your loyalty. Man makes mistakes, God does not. Give your all to the one who created you and has charge of your soul. Your mate is your partner not your boss. That’s the natural order of things.
We can learn about the Creator through nature. The Bible mentions the word honey 61 times. Do you know how it’s made? By female bees. The males do no work and are evicted from the hive when resources get scarce. Female bees can reproduce asexually, they do not need a mate. Interestingly when they do this the offspring are male. Like when Mary gave birth as a virgin.
Women hold a special status with God.
Many choose to follow the words of man rather than the words of the Messiah. And this can seriously hinder their walk.
Ladies, if a man tells you that he is the head of the woman/household, run, and run fast. He inwardly desires power instead of denying himself as we were told to do. He wants to be your leader instead of your equal, and this can harm his soul as well as yours.
You cannot serve two masters. You cannot seek to dominate another and simultaneously surrender to Christ. And Christ never told us to do this. If the flesh profits nothing, why do some men want women to be subservient or submissive? That isn’t holy thinking, that’s carnal.
Men, please understand that a strong man is kind, gentle, and understanding, not dominating and controlling. He loves with compassion and consideration….like our Master, the Lord Jesus.
