Many Believers spend more time in The Bible than with The Messiah. In this way, the Bible becomes an idol, and the worship of the written word over The True Word (The Messiah) becomes a stumbling block.
Before I go further, please know that the Bible is awesome, wonderful and most necessary, in my opinion. But it is only the beginning in this walk of faith. And Yashua never told us to follow the Bible, He told us to follow Him. He is the way, the truth and the life, not a book. He never told us to follow men who wrote the books of the Bible. They may have been godly, but they were imperfect people. They were not God in the flesh.
Therefore, if we choose to follow man over Yashua, we are doomed.
James told us “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (James 1:5)
So why do people go to the Bible for answers instead of inquiring of God?
Many, many so-called preachers are not anointed and were not called by God.
Many churches were not ordained by God.
And many of these preachers and churches use the Bible as a weapon to keep people in spiritual darkness, just like the Pharisees of old. “
Jesus replied, “And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.” (Luke 11:46) “but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles…” (1 Corinthians 1:23)
If we are wise, we will understand the order of things. God comes first, and we must at all times obey the Commands of The Messiah, the firstborn of creation.
Many of these Commands are found in the Gospels, but not all.
Some will be given directly to you.
