The church patriarchy had an unspoken mission and quest for power. It had to maintain a hierarchy, keeping certain people on the top (men) and all others down below. Therefore, their interpretation of the Bible is badly skewed.
And it is indisputable that the various Bible translations are not 100% accurate. The translators didn’t know the idioms of the Hebrew language nor the cultural norms of the people who wrote the books.
At the time the western Bibles were published, women were considered as cattle, and as property. They took the names of their husbands. According to USA Today, it wasn’t until around 1971 when women in the United States were able to serve on a jury or obtain a credit card in their own name; before that, it had to be in the name of their father or husband.*
To maintain that kind of power, the Bible was weaponized.
The Bible says: “As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it.” (Genesis 9:7)
The church fathers brainwashed the world to think this means have lots of sex and babies. And this interpretation has caused development of religious cults, the horrors of polygamy and demoted women to being walking wombs with little other purpose. And the result is a screwed up society, as we can all see.
Lots of children were born without ever getting quality time with parents, because there simply were too many in the house and too little time in the day. Lots of people suffered under the belief that humans were mandated to reproduce…even when there is no desire to do so.
But the good book also says: “God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5).
And we are also told: Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” (1 John 4:8)
If Yah wants us to multiply, could it be that it is LOVE & LIGHT that we should reproduce?
Light is basically fruit of the spirit. The Bible says: “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. ” (Galatians 5:22-23)
Yashua (God in flesh) told us: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Matthew 22:37-39)
The Greatest Commandments are to LOVE. This is what we are to multiply.
We are supposed to multiply virtue, not flesh! Because only Yah can truly create life. We are only vessels. There are many examples of barren women in the Bible to confirm this. And there are lots of men who cannot produce children. Yet when Yah decides to create life, it cannot not happen. Sarah had a baby at about 99 years of age.
Yah would not give a command if we were unable to perform it.
And since we are all given free will, the virtues of spiritual fruit are all within 100% of our control to create. Each day we have the choice to multiply negativity, or positive things.
If we pray for understanding of the Bible as well as the ability to worship in spirit (light) and truth, we will start to see the bigger picture. Yah wants an intimate relationship with us, through Her firstborn son, The Messiah. Blessings!
